Dr. Mzuvele A Hlabisa

Dr Mzuvele Hlabisa is a compassionate Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in KwaZulu-Natal. He obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2010. He started working as an Intern at Madadeni Provincial Hospital in KZN, in 2010. In 2011 he went on to work at Newcastle Provincial Hospital.

Dr Hlabisa completed his Community Service at Mosvold Hospital in KZN. He then became a Medical Officer in the Internal Medicine Department at Portshepston Provincial Hospital in 2013. With his passion for obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Hlabisa started working at King Edward Hospital in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department as a Registrar in 2013. In 2018 he became a Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa.

Dr Mzuvele Hlabisa furthered his studies and obtained both a Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University Of KwaZulu-Natal and Certification 2 in Gynaecology Endoscopy from the European Society for Gynae-endoscopic Surgery, in 2019.

Also in 2019, Dr Mzuvele Hlabisa became a Medical Officer in the High-Risk Obstetrics, Urogynaecology and Endoscopy Unit at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital. He is a specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist at RK Khan hospital and a Honorary Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He has now decided to open a Private Practice in Isipingo Hospital, Durban.
